By Daniel Breda & Brennan Hatton
‘Art As Activity’ explores the concept of ‘dynamic sensation’ in neo-futurist art through the synchronization of virtual reality and installation art. The work portrays Breda’s love of creating active participation in the gallery space, alongside his painting practice to form juxtapositions between innovative technology and traditional art.
Executed with the Oculus Quest 2, Unity 3d, and a physical installation, ‘Art as Activity’ personifies this concept with a transreality ball pit. The work continues Daniel Breda’s collaboration with award winning leader in VR, Brennan Hatton to showcase an interactive VR experience inspired by childhood thematics. Together; Breda and Hatton aim to provide fun and enjoyment into the white wall gallery space, whilst creating unique interactive and immersive experiences that expand the possibilities of physical space.
'Act As Activity' is one Breda and Hatton's 4th collaboration together, their history includes Virtual Reality art collaborations displayed on a national level around Australia from Art Edit Magazine to numerus Australian Art Galleries.
