Meta creates Augmented Reality glasses allowing an interactive overlay of digital content onto the real world. I was employee #7 at Meta. Duing my time at Meta I saw the company grow from valued at under $2M to over $300 Million. Below I will outline some of the many roles I had over my 2 years at Meta, and the programs I developed.
Started the Developer Program – the “Meta Pioneers Program”.
From 2013 – 2015, I took the Meta Kickstarter Community and grew it into a developer community, building & publishing apps.

– Providing access to the bare minimum hardware to start using our early SDK (Software Developer Kit).
– Running workshops with early prototypes, funded by the product demand. Building our first community of evangelists.
Saw the launch of our SDK. 2014
– Channeling feedback from the workshops, we were able to get the SDK ready for the public.

– Workshops with BYO Meta 1’s, getting up to 30 people per workshop.
– Product sales at events and workshops.
– Hosted monthly webinars.
– We hit the road, travelling all around the world. Reaching the Asian, European, Australasian & Western markets.

The goal of the Meta Pioneer Workshops was to teach experienced developers and, first-time users of Unity, help them build a working prototype in two days of their app they can take home and show their bosses, clients and companies, which they can continue to work with after the event to launch as a Native Meta App.
It was a two-day professional workshop series, where we saw attendance from some of the biggest companies in the world, and hundreds of developers.
In the Meta Pioneers Workshops I would take developers from the basics of the Meta SDK & hardware, through to advanced concepts of how the human eye perceives 3D & Depth, how to present an app and advanced SDK features.

I have built a number of professional tutorials and online webinars making technical topics, simple. Webinars & tutorial videos are a cheap, scalable way of reaching large audiences.
